Windows 11 from my perspective has no future, as I have already explained in the German blog article at andersGOOD Blog.
The operating system has become Microsoft's "digital playground" for hard-core profit interests and I don't support that.
For this reason, SWEETGOOD no longer supports customers who want to or will use Windows 11 as the only operating system on their PCs.
Are there any alternatives?
Of course! ✅
The best alternative is to use Linux 🐧
This will make you independent of the profit interests of large corporations in the long term.

Need support with this?
I am happy to support you in choosing the right Linux distribution depending on the area of application (Desktop / Server).
And I am also happy to help you replacing Windows-based software.

But tool “XYZ” only runs on Windows
If you are still dependent on Windows applications, I will be happy to help you set up one of the following (hybrid) solutions or advise you on this:
- Provide Windows 10 22H2 with security updates until October 10, 2028 with paid ESU support
- Switch to Windows 10 Enterprise 1809 (LTS) and receive security updates until January 09, 2029
- Run Windows 10 with 0Patch until 2030
- Run Windows 10 or 11 (possibly without an internet connection) under Linux in parallel using a virtual machine
You can easily find out which version of Windows you are currently running on by clicking on Settings , next on System, scroll down to the bottom and click on Info. The "Windows specifications" section will show the edition and version you are using.
