Windows 11 has no future, if privacy, data protection and data security are important to you.
Microsoft's former operating system is now a “digital playground” for hard-core profit interests and a data protection nightmare.
I don't support that. Therefore, I can no longer support customers who are using Windows 11 as the only operating system on their devices. You can find more reasons for this decision in the German blogpost at andersGOOD.
Are there alternatives?
Of course! 🎉
Using 🐧 Linux will make you independent from the profit interests of large corporations and their greed for data in the long term.
You protect data and privacy and – unlike Microsoft – even give disused PCs, notebooks and Apple devices within your drawer a second life.
Check now which Linux version suits you best and share the result with me:

I am the right person for:
- Selecting the Linux variant which fits you best - tailored to the area of application (desktop / server) and your needs
- Installation of Linux on old devices such as PCs, notebooks and Apple hardware (MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, etc.)
- Uncomplicated support - even after switching to Linux
- Replacement of Windows-based software with free and Open Source software
Just have a look at what great tools are available from Europe:
european-alternatives.euBut tool “XYZ” only runs on Windows!
If you are still dependent on Windows applications I will be happy to support you setting up one of the following (hybrid) solutions:
- Provide Windows 10 22H2 with security updates until October 10, 2028 with paid ESU support
- Switch to Windows 10 Enterprise 1809 (LTS) and receive security updates until January 09, 2029
- Run Windows 10 with 0Patch until 2030
- Run Windows 10 or 11 (possibly without an internet connection) under Linux in parallel using a virtual machine
You can easily find out which version of Windows you are currently using by clicking on Settings, next on System, scroll down to the bottom and click on Info. The "Windows specifications" section will show your current edition and version.
